We heard that there is some misconceptions about yoga going around, so we want to debunk that for you and fill you in on how to prep for a class at Yoga for Good.

Think yoga is not for you?

Myth 1

“I have to be flexible to do yoga”

This is a biggie and we hear this a lot. Good thing we offer plenty of modifications and support here, like blocks, so that touching your toes can be a myth of the past.

“You have to have a certain body type

Myth 2

Every BODY is a yoga body. Every practice looks different and is based on your own assessment and discernment.

“Do I need to wear ‘yoga’ clothing?”

Myth 3

Wear any clothing that is easy to move in and not restrictive to your practice. Come as you are with what you have.

Can I cancel a class? (Cancellation Policy)

Yes you can. However, if you cancel within 1 hour of class time (or no-show), we will withhold your purchase fee and donate it to a non-profit organization. If you have a 5 or 10-class pass, 1 class will be deducted. For the Unlimited Class Pass, you will be charged an additional fee of $5/class for each class missed that month.

Yoga Mat

We’re a cement floor studio and that can be hard on the knees. So, we recommend bringing your own mat. We have extras here for purchase or rent if you forget. Our products are the Manduka brand which are responsibly sourced with a minimal environmental impact.

Props

We have everything from bolsters, blocks and yoga straps at the studio for you. We carry Manduka. So you can always feel confident in the performance of the products and the sustainability efforts to minimize their environmental footprint.

Bare feet & bare belongings

We have cubbies for you to leave your shoes and belongings securely before stepping into the practice space and onto your mat.
